embrace the camera: january 27

so, i had a birthday yesterday.

blah.

was how i was feeling about it.

mostly because my better half wasn't here to celebrate with me.

he's been out of town since sunday.

another blah. blah. and blah.

 

special delivery flowers from my dad & liz.

but, it ended up being a great {nothing unusual, same as always} kind of day.

i would like to thank three people in-particular

{in no random order}:

stacy - thank you for telling me to wash my hair {it had been two days since the hair got any tlc} and put on makeup. she said i needed to feel pretty on my birthday. i'm glad i took your advice!

sara - my bestie left me a voice mail saying something along these lines, 'i know you feel like today is not the best birthday. but it is, because all you wanted in your life was to be a mother and you get to spend it with your two precious boys.' so true. so true. AND....i will be in atlanta visiting the bestie in 10 days! girls weekend. can't flipp'n wait!

momma - my mom made my day so special. she bought my favorite thai food. a fabulous ice cream cake. a balloon {boys were totally digg'n it}. and a card from my boys. what a great end to my day!
