open AND close

it was my very first open and close day yesterday.

yep, i did this mommy thing 

all

by

myself.

sure, i have stayed the night 

numerous 

times by myself.

just me and the boys.

but, for almost 9 months {next wednesday...eeek}

i have had help during the evenings.

either my mom.

my mom & larry.

or my friend, katherine

save me in the evenings.

the dinner.bath.last bottle time. 

the craziest part of the day.

you know how it is.

right?!?!

aren't all kids more fussy in the evening time?

anywho...

yesterday it was just the 3 of us.

mom & larry were in cali fighting fires.

no, not literally.

and katherine got knocked up....

the last thing she wants to deal with is her soon-to-be 

REALITY.

so, we were on our own.

all day.

from open to close.

{that's terminology from the ol' banking days. you either opened. or you closed. and on those unfair days when we were short staffed....you got it....someone opened AND closed}

and i'm happy to report....

 we did great!

no meltdowns. nada. not one.

{i get VERY worked up when the boys cry. but that's a whole post in itself}.

my boys ROCK.
