can't put it into words how thankful i am to be out of that old stink'n {literally} apartment.
the move. the close. the house. didn't come without issues.
but, i will refrain from the negativity on this here blog and focus on the positive. mkay?!
the house is big. beautiful. bright. cheery. lovely. and best of all...it's HOME!
i have been eye ball deep in boxes. tissue paper {from the movers wrapping EVERYTHING}.
no joke. even spices in the kitchen. they were thorough. no doubt about that.
i have had more than one of you ask for pictures.
i have decided to go room by room AS THEY GET FINISHED {or, very close to being complete}.
one of the stipulations of this move between the hub and i was: IF i was going to make this life alterting move... i get to redecorate the house.
yes please and big time thank-you!
we have had the same furniture since we got married in '04.
and for me, that's like eternity.
i was into the dark. big. bulky furniture.
that was the old me.
the new me is into white. bright. used. refurnished. worn. antique store finds. hand made accent pieces.
you get the idea.
and if you don't. go check out what's on my boards via pinterest. think you'll pick up on what i'm putt'n down.
so my first {almost} finished project is the front porch.
i'm going to have to go out on a limb and say, our front porch is by far the cutest on the street.
pretty sure everyone already hates us.
just joking.
i've only met three other neighbors thus far.
and i'm pretty sure they all like us.
so, here it is....
our front porch love.
please disregard the dirt in place for grass.
what?!?
is that weird to you also.
welcome to a new build in ohio folks.
you buy all-a-cart here.
and the yard can't go in until after you get the 'green light' for occupancy {when you close}.
and then, the ground has to be graded { leveled}.
and then, you have to wait for the city to give it a green light {we are currently on that phase}.
and then, you get your patio poured {that you had to pay out of pocket for}.
and then, sprinklers.
and then, landscape {that's when the sod comes into play...yippee for grass}.
and then, you get your fence {which you also pay for out of pocket}.
yes. we.are.broke. thanks for asking and noticing.
****oops, some of that negativity came out. but at least it was sarcastic. that helps, right?!***
so, yeah, we are still picking up ki'ya's dog droppings which are in the neighbors yard.
do you blame her?!
all she's got is dirt.
the end of the month.
that's when my life will be totally back.to.normal.
all my children will once again be 100% happy with life again.
ugh to buying a new house in avon, ohio.
but yeah to decorating a new home.
