family pics...ohio style.

 

it's been a LONG time since we have had family pictures taken.
in fact, the last time we paid someone to take them was this time last year.
a WHOLE year ago.
at a pumpkin patch.
in texas.
when the littles were a mere 6 months old.
it was time to update our family pics.

our babysitter, kailey, has dabbled in photography.
she's taken some classes in college.
and just got a new camera for her 21st birthday.
i think i was more excited about this than she.
she wants to practice. practice. practice.
and boy do i love get'n our pictures taken.
win win for all :: how bout that!


so, not only do we have the BEST sitter in all of ohio.
we also have a built in photographer.

our first attempt didn't go as planned.
i had scoured pinterest and found some really cute family poses.
brought along some props.
kailey helped pick the perfect location.
we.were.set.
or, so we thought.
the boys had a different plan.
one of which had NOTHING to do with cooperating. being held. sitting on a blanket.
the only thing they had in mind was running in the sopping wet/geese poop infested grass.
needless to say :: we only spent 30 minutes out there.
and i give special thanks to the two lolli pops i brought...if it weren't for them, we'd have TWO pictures.
