last weekend we were blessed to have two showers for our boys in tulsa.
the morning shower was given to us by my friends & family.
couldn't ask for better people in my life.
think i pretty much have the best friends and family out there.
i walked into whitney's house about 15 minutes early.
i saw this girl.
and this one.
and i immediately started crying.
not sure what came over me.
maybe hormones?
maybe the love i felt?
maybe it was because i haven't seen these special people in way too long?
still not sure.
just know that for the first hour i was in tears.
i brought this guy along to help me get through the emotional day.
the food. the cake. the mimosas - i mean, the orange juice was amazing.

we received so many gifts for these precious boys.
our whole entire back of the tahoe was stacked full.
so full, ki'ya didn't even have a spot to ride home in.
good thing grammie & gramps followed us to tulsa - she had a cozy backseat ALL to herself!

it was so good seeing so many people that i don't get to see as much anymore.
my heart was full.
my eyes were teary.
i missed seeing some people that couldn't make it.
my out of town family and friends.
but, i look forward to seeing you all when the boys make their grand entrance.
these are the fabulous girls that had the shower for us.
minus one - she had to go home and take her 'birth control pill.'
apparently, there was WAY too much baby talk in the room for her.
but i love her with all my heart!!!

THANK-YOU from the bottom of our hearts for all you did for us!
you girls are amazing!
and to everyone else that came - thanks for coming to help celebrate our two little boys whom we can't wait to meet!

the evening shower....
was given to us by my in-laws sunday school class.
yes, that's correct.
not OUR sunday school class.
my in-laws.
complete and utter strangers to us.
WOW - this kind of a gesture still exists???

i love those two sweet faces.
we received so many nice gifts at this shower as well.
i feel as if i will NEVER get finished writing these thank-you cards.
but, i guess that's a nice situation to be in!
overall, last saturday was one of the best days that i can remember.
i will forever cherish it in my heart.
hope you all have a great weekend.
do something fun and think of me!
i'll be right here.
IN BED.

quick little update: i am fine. the boys seem to be fine. i am obeying the dr's orders and staying in bed except to use the restroom, make a quick bite to eat, and take a quick shower. i have a husband that thinks i can realistically take a shower in 1.2 minutes. he stands by the shower or yells, 'that's long enough' or 'you're taking too long.' geesh, can't a girl have 3.2 minutes of privacy?!?!?
we will be going back to the dr on monday to have another sono to check on my cervix and to also have the fetal fibronectin test completed again. this test can detect if i will be going into labor within 7-10 days. i will be seeing the dr every monday from here on out.
quick stats on the boys: baby A is currently breach - his left leg is literally hanging out in my pelvis. this little man weighed 2.10 last monday. baby B is taking up space underneath my breasts - laying horizontally. he weighed 2.11. so, they are right on track for where they should be at 28 wks! we just need them to stay cooking longer, and i am doing everything in my power to help them!
