Brother style.

my brother....
we are exactly 22 months apart in age.
he's older.
we are completely opposite.

from birth.....

he came out with red hair and fair skin.
i came out with dark skin and dark hair.
and that trend of being different sums up the last 30+ yrs of this brother and sister duo.

we grew up pretty much not liking each other.
he teased me and made me cry daily.
i tattled and bugged him daily.
it didn't get much better in jr. high and high school.

life happened...
we moved to different states along the way.
i went the conventional route.
college.
marriage.
mortgage.
kids.

my brother....
not.so.much.

he lives life his way.
and he lives it to the fullest.
he has a really neat life.
the kind we only dream about.
the farthest thing from the norm.
but...

it's his norm.

my brother has traveled the world.
he has learned so much along the way.
he is a very passionate person.
and LOVES sharing his passions with everyone else.
he is an extraordinary cook.
a remarkable athlete.
the handiest of handy men out there.
and turns out...

an amazing brother
{which i always knew}.

i am so thankful that with age.
we have come to appreciate, love and respect each other for who we are.
all of our differences.
who make us - well, us.
