heaven on earth.

we had the most relaxing. carefree. beautiful. vacay of all vacay's this past week.
every ounce of me needed it.
i needed time with the hubs.
the new job. the move. the stresses that go hand in hand with these were taking a toll on us.
this vacay couldn't have come at a better time.
and to think, we booked this a very very very long time ago.
He sure works. and in mysterious ways, i might add.

so, st. kitts. you haven't heard of it?
well, you have now and i tell you. all of you. it's a must on your list.
especially for families.
there were kids. and more kids. everywhere.
this was something i wasn't expecting.
at all.
in fact, it kind of ruined my first day there.
the crying. the playing. the laughing.
made me miss my little guys so so so much.
but, i got over it the next day and started to really soak it all in.

we stayed at the marriot and had an all inclusive package.
it was my first all inclusive trip.
{other than the cruise to alaska}
all the drinks. all day long. all the food. all day long.
my heart was full and happy.

we left the airport and headed straight for the hotel.
once we were there we left only one time.
we usually do things.
you know, all the touristy stuff.
but, we were so utterly content with 100% vegging out all week.
we never felt the need to do anything.

ours days consisted of this:
sleeping in {9:00am was when we would wake up usually}. cup of coffee in bed. gym time. breakfast. head down to the pool/beach. had our first drink of the day around noon. a chi-chi for me {pina colada with vodka instead of rum...YUM}. laid in the sun until about 4 or 5. nap time. shower. dinner at about 7:00. checked out who was in the casino after dinner. {speaking of....did i mention there was a casino in the hotel?!? yes, there sure was}. then back to the room. maybe watched a movie. or just went to bed.
it was every bit of perfect for us.

 
we will be going back.
no.doubt.about.it.
and i have never ever said that before.
not that we haven't been to other perfect places before....austrailia. new zealand. maui. kaui. st. thomas.
just to name a few.
but, there was something about this place.
and i think it was that is was so family/kid friendly.
and although i love my alicia and adam time.
i long for the days when the boys can go on vacay and ENJOY it.
and this will be our first stop, i do believe.
