good news. bad news.

let's start with the good.
shall we?!
we are officially home owners in the cleve.
we bought a spec home.
in a city called avon.
in a subdivision called highland park.
neighborhoods/subdivisions are hard to come by here.
and IF they have a 'neighborhood' it usually amounts to one street.
definitely NOT what we are used too.
and as you can probably imagine....new build is hard to come by as well.
how'd we get so lucky?
dunno.
but although it sounds all good and dandy.

here comes the bad news:
move in date AUGUST 5th.
dun dun dun.....
it took me cursing my husband.
storming out of the apartment.
calling my bestie {she helps me think rationally when i am out.of.control way irrational}.
having her talk sense into me.
apologizing to the husband.
talking thru how i am going to make it stay sane until august 5th in this dang apartment.
to get to where we are now.
happy. elated. feeling blessed. totally stoked.

since it was a spec home.
all the insides {flooring. carpet. granite. paint colors. cabinets. etc} are all picked out.
we really don't know what we will be getting.
although they say it's all upgraded stuff...like what's in the model.
so, we bought a house only knowing what the outside looks like.
scary?!
uhm, a bit.
but, it can't be as bad as all 150 other homes we have looked out.

we will be going often.
taking pictures.
and getting sneak peeks of what our house is looking like.
big.time.thanks to sara for talking me off the ledge {no, not MY ledge, as in ledger...sillies}.
and thanks to my husband for putting up with me and my bad attitude.
although august 5th sounds FOREVER and a day away to me.
i think the house and the neighborhood {kids everywhere} will be well worth the wait!

  1. I hope it will fly by! I THINK it really will. Miss you guys. Even if we didn't see you that often in TX at least we had the option. The house looks beautiful and I know you'll make the inside gorgeous as well.

One thing I'm thankful for is that you're stuck in the apartment in the Summer rather than the winter when you wouldn't want to get out. Hooray for playing outside! love ya.
