we're alive.

we made it to the cleve.
the boys did remarkably well on the 16 hour trek across country.
we split the drive up into two days.
mickey saved our lives.
as the boys didn't sleep much.

tonight is our 5th night sleeping in a two bedroom apartment.
did i mention it was on the second floor?
oh, yes. it sure is.
two 13 month old babies and a dog on the second floor.
of an apartment.
i keep reminding myself it could be worse and this too is only temporary.

i hope to have more exciting news to share next week.
but, for now...i just wanted to let y'all know we are alive.
we are adjusting to life in the cleve well.
my in-laws are still here with us and i'm not excited about them leaving on monday.
but my momma comes to visit next thursday.

we also made our first visit to an ER this morning.
bright and early.
holden woke up screaming.
there was no consoling. my heart broke. i knew something was wrong.
and then i saw the tug on the ol' ear.
13 months...we had gone 13 months with no ear infections.
until today.
he got some numbing drops. motrin. and some snuggle time with his mommy.
he was back to normal in no time.

here are a few iphone pictures from our last week.

before their play date with the hogle twins.
lunch with the Kidd family.
on our long journey north - holden & his beloved 'biggles.'
first day in The Cleve....hav'n fun.

life size chess game anyone?!
we found an all wood playground.
they loved the boat.
on our walk we found a windmill. holden was so excited to tell grampie about it!
sweet holden after the numbing medicine kicked in.
our first trip to the ER.
i think we're gonna make it here.
i need a home.
but i'm praying that's coming soon.
very. very. soon.
