you know, the kind where you have to :: measure. tape. get out every kind of instrument in your garage to make sure it's :: even. high enough. low enough. just right.
well, for those of you who know me.
you know that i can come up {get inspired via pinterest} with the great ideas.
BUT...the Mr. gets to actually DO the creations.
and i knew that a project like this would make his little engineering {everything has to be PERFECT} mind go NUTS-O.
so, i decided to save my marriage and NOT ask him to help with something like this.
instead.
i asked him to build an 8 foot shelf to house my beloved gallery wrap pictures....{along with a few others}.
we made this the same weekend we knocked out the book shelves.
love.love.LOVE. it.

| to add a little 'extra'...simply glue on some flowers to your cheap white frame. |

| i'm a BIG believer in that phrase....truly blessed with L&H. |
the picture above gives you a full view of the wall {making the shelf look so tiny}.
the front stair case and entry way is behind the wall.
the opening to the left of the picture is the hallway leading you to the front door.
and the opening to the right of the picture leads you to the dinning room.
i love the fact that i can easily :: change things around. add to it. remove from it. whatever.i.like as things are not mounted to the wall.
easy access.... if you will.
i'm lov'n my gallery wall.xxoo.

I agree - for the sake of ALL marriages, NEVER attempt to hang pictures together... it never turns out well. :) The shelf looks great! I've always loved your pumpkin patch pictures - and I can't even believe another fall season is upon us! Hope all is great with you and your sweet boys. XOXO
ReplyDeletelove it. way to go! I, too, am obsessed with gallery wraps. I love how you used the shelf for them instead of hanging. Super cute.
