but i've been lazy with the camera.
today aunt jan said she wanted pics of the house.
for some reason, that was all i needed.
that was my push to get off my lazy tail and snap some photos.
so..... y'all that wanted to see more of the house :: go ahead and thank aunt jan.
today you're getting the: entryway. dinning room. office.
:: the front three rooms/areas of our house ::
the foyer/entry way:
this is what you see as you walk in the house. the first old window i ever bought. the second wreath i ever made {i added the bow and *button* recently}. the stack of books i bought from posh house originals {before i made my own}. a cheap distressed table thrifted. a new yellow shade to add that extra pop of color. an old red picture frame that got some spray paint and sand paper handed to it. and of course my 9 day old babes sound asleep.
the office:
to the immediate right is the office. well, it's really sps'd to be the formal living room. we don't have furniture for that kind of a room. we have office furniture. so an office it is.
the A-frame piece found a new home. it was either here or the street. and since the wall was bare :: the office it is.
view from the dinning room {to the immediate left of the front door} looking into the office. that chair was also going to the curb. lucky for him, he still has a roof over his head. which makes this room the official: hodge podge/all the leftovers/all the alicia doesn't want you anymore room. lovely! and that wall behind the desk :: it's a work in progress. i'm thinking the curtain rod with a wreath hanging from it needs to be there {pinterest}. so uhm yeah, this room is sad. there is nothing new in it. no projects. no nothing. lucky for us nobody uses the front door {everyone comes in through the garage} so it is NOT the first thing you see. let's move on, shall we.
the dinning room:
again, as you enter the house, this is to your immediate left. we had all of the furniture in this room as well. i still love it all. we moved things around in here as well, but NOT because i wanted to get rid of it and had nowhere else to put it. the shelf above the buffet used to be in our room. but, thanks to pinterest, i found a better spot for her. and the wine glass rack underneath is new. it came out exactly how i wanted. the chandelier is being replaced as soon as adam gets back in town. i picked up a pendant light for the replacement. can't wait for it to get up.
we also moved a piece from the office into this room. i believe it was always meant to be here. as in perfect here. i had all of the things on it other than the jars {antique find}. i've been waiting for the perfect spot for them. the three yellow frames came from posh house originals as well. everything else were just here and there in the old house{s} and have migrated to this area.
there you have it :: the front part of our house. so, basically when you enter our house you have four options: 1) go to the right and enter the office. 2) go straight ahead and you will enter the back part of the house {1/2 bath. playroom. family room. kitchen. nook area. laundry. 2nd staircase. garage entry. basement entry}. 3) go upstairs. 4) or take a left and enter the dinning room {which also has an entry into the *back part of the house*...you can see this in one of the pictures}. did i confuse you enough?!
next up you can thank adam. that is IF he will ever help me with a bead board project in the kitchen. that's all we're wait'n on folks. some bead board. okay, some bead board AND a menu chalkboard. geesh, these projects are never.ending.
Absolutely love it!!! Love it all!!
ReplyDeleteWowzers! LOVE IT! I think your next post {Aunt Jan, get on it} should be the rooms from here...like we're walking through. Like does the dining room connect to another room or is it by itself. Then where does that main front hall go to if I walk straight. You know....
