uncle alan & aunt jennifer.

we hosted more first timers last week.
i'm pretty sure it's my most favorite thing to do.

EVER.

i love to show off this new place i call home.
i love to see everyone's surprise love for this place.
the weather. the scenery. the things to do. the food.
just to name a few things.

alan and jennifer flew in late monday evening.
they stayed in a hotel close to the airport.
and spent tuesday at niagra falls.
{totally jealous they saw this before us}
they spent part of wednesday at the rock-n-roll hall of fame museum.
and arrived at our house just in time for dinner.
the boys were running amok outside :: barely having time to stop to say hello.
but that's ok.
alan had extra snuggle time with his girl.
the real reason he came to visit.

we woke up to a hot breakfast thursday morning.
and sent adam, alan, and jennifer to cedar point for the day.
they came back exhausted.
but had a BLAST!

friday morning we went to the westside market.
and as always :: our guests were impressed.
alan and jen bought some authentic mexican food.
we came home and inhaled it.

miss kailey came over for her very last scheduled babysitting for us.
she will be home on some weekends :: and has been instructed to let me know when she is interested in some extra cash.
{i've never been known to turn down a date night}.
our first stop was the great lakes brewery.

after the boys finished off their sampler.
we went down the street to shooters.
it is right on the water.
we watched trains pass by. huge barges come in and out :: which meant the retractable bridge was doing its thing.
we also saw the sun set.
and enjoyed each others company.
we finished off the evening down at a neighbors house.
he was celebrating his birthday.
and we are lucky enough to be considered friends and got the invite.

 we had to send uncle alan and aunt jennifer on a plane saturday.
we took the boys to a park to kill some time :: and burn off some energy before we went to the airport.
we talked about how we could get them moved up here.

and mimi and papa.

jen was all but impressed.
we can still dream about it.

we love. love. LOVE. having company.
alan and jennifer could have gone anywhere for their vacay.
but they chose here.
i *think* they had a good time.
they did A LOT. and saw A LOT.
we loved having them.
and look forward to seeing them {and carson} in december.
